24th Annual Texas Toot Valerie HorstValerie is director of Amherst Early Music, the mother of all early music workshops. She teaches early notation at Mannes College of Music in New York and has served on the board of directors of the American Recorder Society and Early Music America.Marilyn BoenauMarilyn has played with the Boston Shawm and Sackbut Ensemble and the Philharmonica Baroque Orchestra. Beginning in 2001, she will be the new director of Amherst Early Music.Tom ZajacTom directs the collegium at Mannes College in New York City. He performs with the New York Ensemble for Early Music and Piffaro, and teaches at the Amherst Early Music Workshop, among others.Alice RenkenAlice is executive secretary of the Viola da Gamba Society of America, general editor of the VdGSA's music publications, and serves on the board of the San Diego Early Music Society. She has performed with the Windsor Hills Consort and taught viol tablature at the Viols West workshop. In addition, she taught viols at Carleton College in Northfield, MN for 22 years.Susan BartonSusan leads the Dallas Consort of Viols and is south central regional coordinator for the Viola da Gamba Society of America. A Dallas area player for 20 years, she has taught viols (especially beginners) at the Toot since 1986. |
