Class Schedule
for the 7th Summer Texas Toot 2005

May 29 - June 4, 2005

The regular classes offered are taught Monday - Friday, two class periods in the morning, and three periods in the afternoon (see an overview of the week's schedule for mealtimes, check-in and check-out, etc). In addition, special nightly activities are scheduled for each evening.

Please note that The Texas Toot reserves the right to substitute faculty or to change classes or scheduling due to extenuating circumstances.


Overview of the Week
Sunday, May 29
2:00 pm — on campus check-in begins
7:30 pm — Orientation, followed by large-group playing
Monday through Friday (note breaks between class times)
Breakfast (7:30-9:00 am, Texas Hall)

Monday 7:30 pm Arrangements of the Bach Brandenburg Concerti for both small and large ensembles of recorders led by Saskia Coolen; viols will have a separate playing session. The popular ice cream social (Amy's Ice Cream!) will follow.
Tuesday 7:15 pm Pre-concert madrigal singing, directed by Frank Shirley.
  8:00 pm Concert by soprano Judith Overcash, Bruce Brogdon (lutes), & harpist Becky Baxter.
Wednesday 7:30 pm The Great Texas Krummhorn Konklave, led by Tom Zajac and Susan Richter; site TBA.
Thursday 7:00 pm Arrangements of the Bach Brandenburg Concerti for both small and large ensembles of recorders and viols led by Saskia Coolen.
Friday 8:00 pm Faculty concert at First Presbyterian Church.
